The campaign is twelve missions in three acts, flown from Nellis and from a carrier in the Pacific. Each one has a briefing, a plan, objectives and up to three stars. Clear one for the first time and it pays XP, credits and badges. Replays pay a share of that, plus more for each new star.

  1. Scramble. An unknown contact near Las Vegas. Take off, intercept, fly alongside it close enough to read its lights, and bring the jet home.
  2. Intercept. Two bandits inbound at golden hour. They fight as a pair: one presses while the other swings wide and comes back.
  3. Into the night. Take off at sunset, strike a target through the infrared targeting pod, and land at night.
  4. Hunted. You start with an ace on your six. Break, flare, use the peaks, make him overshoot, then kill the second one too.
  5. SAM Alley. SAM rings across a valley. Stay low, beat the missiles with chaff, and kill the radar with the gun.
  6. Furball. Your four-ship against four enemy jets at once.
  7. Defend the Carrier. Catapult off the deck as the raid is called, then shoot down waves of incoming missiles before they reach the ship.
  8. Bomber Stream. Ten heavy bombers inbound with escorts. Stop them before they reach the city.
  9. Escort. Bring Magic home through enemy fighters and SAMs.
  10. Strip Run. An airfield raid at low level, bombs on the ramp.
  11. Night Flak. A valley full of guns, a pop-up attack at night.
  12. Last Missile. One AIM-9, an ace, and almost no fuel.

What you earn

Your first clear of a mission pays between 150 and 300 XP, depending on how hard it is, and 50 credits. Each new star adds XP, and replays still pay. Credits buy paint schemes for your jets in the shop. There are 38 badges to earn along the way, from Greaser and Nine G to Knife Fight, Shack and On Fumes. Your progress is saved in the browser, and with an account it follows you across devices.

Who it’s for

The first missions teach as they go: the briefing says what to press, the HUD marks the targets, and the landing assist helps you home. The later ones are hard. Three stars on Last Missile is a real achievement.
